The department of Business Administration was started in the year 1987. There are 08 staff members in the department.
There are 250 students in the UG Programme. Most of the students come from the villages and they are the first graduates of the families. Apart from academic programmes the department trains the students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Many staff members of the department are involved in the curriculum development of Bharathidasan University and other Autonomous Colleges in the last five years. They also serve as Members of Board of studies in Bharathidasan University and Autonomous Colleges.
Many students of our department have been well placed in higher position in various companies and institutions. The department has also been producing individuals with personal and professional ethics. The department celebrated it silver jubilee in the year 2013. As a mark of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations, the department conducted a workshop entitled ‘SALIBROUS PERSONALITY”, a State Level Seminar on “MARKETING BEFORE AND AFTER MNC’S IN INDIA” and “BUSINESS BLISS AMITY”- a State Level Competition on 13,14 and 15th of March 2013.
Many meetings are periodically arranged by The Association of the Department. Eminent personalities belonging to various fields of study address and motivate the students on various topics thereby helping the development of the students in various spheres of life.
The department also conducts Seminars and Workshops at constant intervals thereby bringing out the talents and skills of the students. Students of our department also participate in Seminars and Competitions held at various colleges in and outside Tiruchirappalli thus displaying their multi-talents. Recently the department conducted a one day workshop on COMPETENCY SKILLS to enable the students crack competitive exams like SSC,INSURANCE, & BANK exams.
